First, azetidine-2,4-dione containing compounds with selective reactivity are introduce into the epoxy curing system. The azetidine-2,4-dione undergoes ring-opening reactions with aromatic primary amines to form malonamide linkages. Through this route, one is able to develop novel epoxy resins with not only an unique crosslink feature, but hydrogen bond-rich malonamide linkages as well. Because of this, these novel epoxy resins are capable of exhibiting excellent thermal and mechanical properties, and good adhesion capacity. Subsequently, phosphorus-based compounds (dopo-based compounds) will be further introduced into the epoxy resins in order to enhance flame retardant properties. These malonamide- and dopo-containing epoxy resins exhibiting excellent adhesion capacity and flame retardant properties are definitely suitable for various high performance applications. | 聯絡人姓名 | |
