A sandwich structure of foam core wrapped by fiber prepreg is designed to lighten and stiffen the propeller. The average weight of composite blades is about 464.7 g and smaller than 520 g of a wood propeller with an identical shape. But the static strength of composite propeller is approximately 700 lbs and twice higher than a wood one. Therefore, the manufacturing method of co-cured composite propeller is fully developed. |
